About Us

Founded in 2008, BNA is a private nonprofit organization dedicated to equipping organizations and professionals to support parents carrying to term following a life-limiting prenatal diagnosis.

For over 15 years, BNA had the privilege of directly serving more than 300 families, developing a model of care grounded in compassion, clarity, and fidelity to our mission.

Today, BNA focuses on training Parent Care Coordinators to serve families using this established model of care. Through our training program, organizations are equipped to provide comprehensive support to parents within their own communities.

Our Mission

Be Not Afraid (BNA) is committed to making certain that parents experiencing a prenatal diagnosis find comprehensive support at diagnosis.

BNA trains and mentors organizations to mobilize a network of life-affirming service providers capable of meeting the needs of parents across the U.S. The organization's online trainings are parent-centered, research-based, trauma-informed, and rooted in Catholic ethics, and its model of care is both replicable and highly valued by parents.
